Installation is relatively simple with guided YouTube video. You should install a firmware update to increase your channels to 32 channels prior to installation. (Higher channels have less WiFi interference)
The high gain 7dBi antennas in this kit have been customized for extended WiFi spectrum. Normally, WiFi only operates on 2.4GHz. The ARGtek panels have extended frequencies up to 2.591GHz. The kit will work if you do not update the firmware, however if you update the firmware to unlock the rest of the channels on your DJI drone, you will be able to use all 32 channels. (DJI only opens 8 channels). The custom ARGtek panel antennas work best on CH 22 however they will work on the other channels also.
Omni Vs Panel?
You might need to switch between the panels and the omni-directional antenna when you need to film closer to any buildings. The panels are great for distance but are very directional. Using Omni-Directional antennas can get better performance when you are flying using
DJI "Intelligent Flight Mode-
Follow Me, Course Lock, Way Points, Home Lock, Point of Interest".
Having both antennas in the kit is your best choice!
